CONFIRMED NEWS FROM RETROCADE'S NINJA

The next XBOX will in fact be called the XBOX Playstation or XBP for short. Recently Sony-Microsoft.com and Microsoft-sony.com were registered by Microsoft. Indicating Sony will be co branding with Microsoft.

This is the new controller shown above. The PSVITA will also be a controller option for the XBP.

Games will come on 64GB write once SD Cards This is to improve load times and save right to the SD card.
resale prevention will be in the form of the Game save locking to your XBP gamer tag, You will however beable to play games on any console your gamer tag is on. There will still be a disc drive for playing legacy titles all PS1, PS2, PS3 XBOX and 360 games will play on the XBP. At Launch it is expected to be 2 SKUs a model with the Disc drive and Cardslot and one with just the SD Slot.

Sony will design the interface for the XBP. Which is said to differ depending on the controller.

Halo 5 and Killzone 4 will be launch titles.

A 6 core 4 GHZ IBM Processor powers the system and a modified ATI Radeon 7900 GPU will provide the graphics.Both Open GL and Direct X 11 are supported.

The Expected Launch date is fall 2013.

For site operators

1. YOU GET DMCA COMPLAINT YOU ACT ON IT!

Megaupload did not act on DMCA complaints in fact it was VERY HARD to file a DMCA complaint on MEGAUPLOAD if you want to keep existing make it easy for content holders to tell you "Hey our shit is on here and we're uncomfortable with it being shared in this way can you please take it down"

2. STAY SMALL

We all want to make money but the bigger you get the more people will be out to get you. Operate the site on the side don't advertise you exist too much and DO NOT get celebrity endorsements. That's the kiss of Death. Napster, Kazaa, and now Megaupload, they got too big and paid the price. Don't try to conquer the world.

3. Be easy to use

Hey it's not just about loopholing around draconian copyright law, you want people to use your site and you
want to stay in existence you gotta rely on word of mouth. Don't jump though too much hoops to get something downloaded make it fast and make it easy to upload. DO NOT impose limits.

For Uploaders

1. BE VAGUE

If you want your file to STAY ON LINE and it's not something you did SHHHHHHHH don't make it obvious what it is Use a coding a system like spelling the name out in phone digits or something. Post on a messageboard to make sure people looking for it can find it. Content providers typically don't download they just write up DMCA Complaints so just be vague.

For Content holders

1. Downloads = sales

Like Content holders give two shits what a man with a 250 IQ has to say. Here's the thing people who download things unless they are basement dwelling losers WILL buy 90% of what they download.

2. Provide conent people WANT TO PAY FOR

Don't want your shit pirated? Make shit that isn't SHIT. More than likely your revenues are down because your products SUCK. So make people WANT to buy your shit.

3. DON'T BE ASSHOLES

Treat potential consumers with Respect and they will respect you back.

Dammit resellers ______________ is not worth $600

I just recently purchased a used well loved Sega Saturn I HAVE NO IDEA what condition it is in because the idiots that sold it to me gave me a useless RF switch in 2011/2012 RF switches are USELESS.

Anyway there are games I want and they are INSANELY expensive Mega Man 8 could cost me upwards of $80 the overrated Burning Rangers (Development of the game should have shifted to Dreamcast) $100 Guardian Heroes, My soul, thankfully the latter of the games I can get on XBLA, It's good that Raident Silvergun Is on XBLA and not only that is Saturn perfect and beyond.

Typically comic book shops have been my go to for used Dreamcast games I've gotten flawless copies of games for $8-10 and I would say maybe I'm half way done with my Dreamcast collection and Dreamcast collecting is for the most part affordable. For the Saturn resellers are just all like F*** YOU.

WHO you asshole resellers WHO is going to pay $600 for a mint copy of Burning rangers when those damned us boxes are so bulky?

Seems like my Saturn collection is going to be quite small... Or mostly Japanese.

At least I can get Nights at a good price and the definitive version of Street Fighter Alpha 2.

It will be Game Center CX II and.... Fred Hebert is back. This will also be a very special episode at 2 hours It'll be the last Retrocade possibly until February. So what can you expect?

Well I took in some feedback...asshole waited UNTIL THE END of the season to complain about the show. I'm not changing it now But This finale episode will be a 2 hour preview of Season 2 a more focused slightly more serious video game show. For the most part though feedback on Season 1 has been positive with over 2000 people having viewed Episode 4 which was why I decided to do a second Game Center CX Episode.

Anyways The Games? PURE 8-BIT plus if you're all good maybe I'll play some of the Retrocade Game that's been rumored.....

Of December....

That's right I've decided to skip over the 5th episode of Retrocade Sega in favor of doing the next 3 episodes of Retrocade Fantasia and there won't be a 2 week span between them in fact it might be a span of...A FEW DAYS!

That's my christmas present to my small but loyal Fanbase 3 episodes of Fantasia in 1 month Expect Episode 10 next week and 11 and 12 soon after.

Episode 10 will have an arcade theme As we play all old school Arcade games, Media dumbassery returns and another sexy music video also we get an intern named Smitty and beat the fuck out of him.

Dr Levesque will return in Episode 11 as host We show clips from classic kung fu films and Dr Levesuqe plays classic 8-bit martial arts games.

AND the most popular episode of all time gets a sequel Episode 12 will be Game Center CX II

SNK is known for being lazy we have seen a new IP from them since.....UH err ummm eeeeee 2005 maybe? That witch molestation game. So to see KOF XIII not only come out but address everything fans hated about KOF XII is refreshing. The downside is some of the cool stuff from KOF XII is gone. The really awesome Critical counter system is gone, also the huge ass sprites are also gone two things I really liked about KOF XII. KOF XIII however brings back Mai, but not Jenet and Mary but hey there's KOF XIV so I'm cool.

The music is amazing some of the best in the series the Art of Fighting Team theme and Ash theme stand out and the ladies team music will stick in your head, at least it stuck in mine.

Now on to the actual gameplay....hey Capcom FUCK YOU. When Capcom has been giving us barebones games for $60 SNK gives us survival mode, story and arcade, color edit and all sorts of unlockables. Not just that but where Capcom has their game play on Dumbass mode SNK gives us a balaneced advanced fighter that's still simple for beginers. Good luck though finding a practical use for the drive cancels and Neo Max moves.

Alright so my short review of KOF XIII what do I give it? Well after 4 days and 1 hour of playing for your entertainment I gotta give it

Not perfect but probably the best 2d Fighter this Gen. SNK Said they'd do it with KOF XII but delivered with KOF XIII.

Now SNK PLEASE give us something new...how about that Garou Sequel you promised us?

Time to actually write something one of the perks of hosting the show and it's content myself is I can elaborate and write about stuff I can't go into during the show. Earlier today I was at Target a HORRIBLE target that basically had a whole lot of nothing I added but I did need some jewel cases, some of the cases for my Dreamcast have seen better days, as I've been buying up Dreamcast games at mom and pop operations all over the mysterious location for which I live the condition of some have been not ideal .So as I was swapping discs and inserts I was trying to figure out how to organize my collection and I found myself asking time and time again. What the hell genre does this belong in?

Virtual On Ontario Tangram

Well really I have no idea what the hell to categorize Virtual On under. It's part arena shooter, part Mecha fighter part WHO KNOWS. It's also in all honesty hard as balls to get any good at twin sticks or not.

That being said the mecha designs are unique, the Music is awesome and if you get the hang of it the game is a lot of fun. But if you're hardcore and old school as I am you already knew that. The Game is also on XBLA if you don't have a Dreamcast. To me this game is all about the Fei Yen.

Jet Grind/Set Radio

Racing, Action, Acts of vandalism, Resisting arrest, destruction of public property. Where is the parental outrtage? Granted we've all heard of Jet Set Radio alot of us have played but have you really stopped to think where this rocking game should be placed?

It's not really a platformer, you do have tricks to do but it's not a sports game plus the racing and the major gameplay mechanic committing the misdemeanor of vandalism sure wasn't done in too many games and maybe only a few others since. It's a hard game to define. It's XBOX Sequel is a bit easier to define as it's a pure action game. But the original is hard to slap a genre label on.

Pen Pen Triicelon

OK sports game I mean a Tricelon is a sporting event....YEAH BUT you also have the elements of cutesy platformers and kart racers here. Plus it....has a story line something about alien penguins.

Pen Pen was an early Dreamcast showcase and lost amongst the hundreds of amazing games on the system. Ontop of platformer elements and cart racing elements controls are unique for the various events pushing using the face buttons when in a luge type thing and then swimming and running. It's quite different also unique and fun and a great party game. But I just have no idea where the hell to put it in my filing system. Another thing with noting about this game is that graphically it still holds up and this was a launch title.

Cosmic Smash

When this came out it was after the Dreamcast life span had expired. It just showed up overnight out of nowhere in import shops, Little to no info was available about the game and news about it was scarce.

So what is it? Cross Rez without the blowing shit up and vibrations and cross it with a 3rd person......Akinoid. Yeah that's it. Simple weird looking, and pretty fun.

And these games are just the tip of the iceberg but there's only so much room I have to blog on. Other games that fit into the genre of what the hell is this are: Rez, Shenmue, Seaman, Ecco the dolphin Defender of the future and Seventh Cross Evolution among others. But we will save those for another day.

Here we are 20 years and a few questionable design choices later (Sonic Heroes SUCKS, Sonic 2006 SUCKS Unleashed was good but had a shark jumping twist) Sonic is still here. This has been a crazy Week for us at Retrocade. You Tube blocks us from our RIGHT (they say privilege but we played by the rules it was our right) to upload our show uncut. We played by You Tube's Rules and they restrict us anyway Look Google makes so much money they can buy out the entertainment companies they bow down to.

So we moved the show over to Metacafe after Veoh rejected our sonic special. We had upload problems but if you look at Metacafe the first 5 episodes are up. Hopefully we can post all of them there. Finally after having enough we realized we can just embed our shit from Archive.org on our own website/Blog and still maintain 100% freedom Plus blog about the show. 1 upload no mess sounds like a sweet deal to us.

So what's next for retrocade? Retrocade SNK hits Monday THEN the biggest news, We upgrade our ISP which will make providing the show even easier. Episode 10 is going to break EVERY rule You Tube set for us and will have an arcade theme best of our Misa's Into the light returns as our permanent theme song. Expect the sexiest Japanese girl music video in the history of Retrocade.

The FTB, Dr Levesque and I work really hard to bring you the best in old school gaming. By having this blog we can give you everything old school and then some.
